Play Facilitator

Part‑time or Full‑time | After‑school + weekend availability required

(minimum 2 weekend days/month)


Location: Sensory Play Center, 375 Bridgeport Ave. Shelton, CT
Pay: $17–$22/hr

The Sensory Play Center is looking for caring, energetic Play Facilitators to help create fun, inclusive, and safe play experiences for children of all abilities. Perfect for paraprofessionals, teachers, and anyone who loves play‑based learning and supporting neurodiverse kids.

What You’ll Do

  • Engage kids in supportive, sensory‑rich play in our indoor gym.

  • Model communication, co‑regulation, and positive social interactions.

  • Welcome families and offer friendly, helpful customer service.

  • Maintain a safe environment through active supervision.

  • Set up, clean, and reset equipment and play areas.

  • Help with birthday parties and special events as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience with children (education, childcare, recreation, camps, etc.).

  • Calm, empathetic communicator and dependable team member.

  • Enjoys working with neurodiverse children and their families.

  • Background check required.

Front Desk Coordinator

We’re seeking organized, friendly Front Desk Coordinators to welcome families, manage check‑ins, and support smooth daily operations. Ideal for paraprofessionals or teachers who enjoy a mix of administrative and hands‑on work in a child‑centered environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Greet families; manage check‑ins, waivers, scheduling, and payments.

  • Manage attendance and provide friendly, helpful support to families throughout their visit.

  • Support safety protocols and help monitor activity on the floor.

  • Assist with sanitizing, equipment setup, and closing duties.

  • Jump in as a Play Facilitator when needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Comfortable with scheduling and payment systems.

  • CPR/First Aid preferred (training available).

  • Background check required.
